In September 2010, Pope Benedict XVI beatified John Henry Cardinal Newman, conferring upon him the title “Blessed,” that is, worthy of reverence in recognition of his holiness of life.
The Newman Association of America takes as its purpose the dissemination of knowledge of the life, thought, and writings of John Henry Newman and the promotion of the cause of his canonization. This is done primarily through our annual Newman Conference held around the anniversary of Newman's death (August 11th).
The Newman Association of America has its administrative center and home in the Office of the Provost at Seton Hall University.
The Association publishes three newsletters per year, which are included with annual membership, for a minimum $30 donation.
The 2017 NAA Conference will be held at the University of St. Thomas, St Paul, MN from July 27 to 29. The theme of the conference will be "Newman: Looking for Truth, Finding Mercy."
